In an effort to increase healthy eating options for underprivileged Americans, Congress voted to increase the number and variety of foods required for sale at stores authorized to accept food stamps. But critics warn the way the U.S. Department of Agriculture is implementing the law could force tens of thousands of small convenience stores to stop accepting food stamps.
